1 Denison Street, Sydney

Standing at 158 meters, 1 Denison Street is North Sydney's newest landmark.

This 37-level commercial office tower provides over 60,000 square meters of premium office space, whose tenants include Microsoft, Channel 9 and SAP.

Eagle Lighting supplied the tower base build with a customised LED lighting solution Enviro Evoline Return Air. This luminaire assisted the project in achieving a 5 Star Energy rating by the Green Building Council of Australia, WELL V2 Platinum status and 5 Star NABERS Energy rating.

Selecting an Australian manufacturer as a lighting supplier for some 4,000 luminaires also reduced the project's embodied carbon and carbon footprint.

"The team at Eagle Lighting were focused on ensuring that the end result was a luminaire that is aesthetically pleasing but also meets the strenuous site-specific conditions that needed to be overcome to ensure the lighting was functional within the other elements of the building's design.

This included, but was not limited to:

• Working with the team to develop a fitting that met the ceiling type and architectural finishes and was able to be coordinated within the ceiling space.
• Worked with engineers to incorporate return air grills to the fitting, which were required to meet the building cooling/ airflow design intent, whilst not impacting the functionality of the lights.
• Worked with the team to integrate Star's specific project requirements for its modular wiring solution and seismic provisions whilst maintaining compliance with the Australian Standards.

Overall, Star and our client were really happy with the outcome of the lighting on the project, with Eagle Lighting being a big part of this journey and the project's success.
