Henrik Clausen Roadshow
Henrik Clausen, Director of Fagerhult Lighting Academy, recently toured Australia and New Zealand. He brought with him knowledge and results from the latest lighting case studies as well as a new concept from Fagerhult called Creative Lab™.
The best way to describe Creative Lab is “a live collaborative lighting design of a space allowing full use of the mind to achieve a desired outcome for the users in the space, whilst taking trends and emotions into consideration.”
The Creative Lab workshops were held all over Australia and New Zealand with groups of highly respected architects and lighting designers. We were able to sit down with these groups of people and see some very inspirational, creative minds at work.
Each of Henrik’s presentations detailed results from recent studies on the biological effects of lighting, the impact of glare and the beauty of ambient lighting. Each of these topics were received well with a large amount of questions and interaction with the audience.
The first stop was at the Australian Institute of Architects Sydney. The evening involved a few different presentations from lighting experts.
Brisbane held their presentation at Cloudland in the stylishly decorated Cellar.
The presentation in Perth was hosted by H.I Lighting at Rydges Perth and the day went off without a hitch.
The Melbourne presentation was held at the Arts Centre in the famous Amcor Lounge that features a unique backlit wall that creates a kaleidoscope of colour and the illusion of bubbles suspended in a water wall.
